Wood Crates Become Creation Station

It was so great to be able to get outside last weekend and work on a project! The weather was warm enough to get a small project done.
I always pick up wood crates as sales when I see them. They are great for storing things in the garage and even in the house. These particular crates were not being used in the garage so I decided to make a "creation station" out of them.
All we did was stack one on top of the other and screw them together. Then, to make it mobile, we screwed casters to the bottom crate.
I sanded it all down and painted it a soft gray color.
I added a lot of fun things to the station to create with (markers, scissors, paper, chalkboards, etc.) This little station has been moved around our home many times, but it usually ends up in my daughter's room.

Love this idea!! However, I was wondering where did you get the scissors holder--love that, also. Email if you can--thanks.
    • I was wondering where you got the round scissor holder also. My daughter got her teaching degree last year and got hired on in the town we live in to teach a class of 4th graders. She has that same exact set of memory craft scissors. Thank you for your time. Lisa
