Wilma - if there is already a prexisting bed in the room, one idea is to put all your sewing stuff into the closet so you can close it off and hide it away when you have guests. See the picture to see what I mean (source: http://livefreecreative.co/2012/08/a-closet-seamstress/).

Basically I have a blank canvas.

A portable sewing table/desk. I would like to know how (if possible) to have a double bed with a basic foam mattress that can be folded up into the wall so when I don't have guests I have the whole space. Sorry but I really need ideas. The room is about 2 and a half by 3 metres.

Since the room is a fairly small space, perhaps you need a wall bed that can do double duty with a desk space. You can put your sewing machine on the desk surface and wouldn't even have to move a thing when guests come and you need the bed. The pictures below give you an idea of how it looks closed and then opened to the bed. If that's something that would work, just google murphy bed with desk space for more options.

I would use a desk in the room for the sewing machine and use an ottoman for a chair that you can fill with your sewing items.
