I want to make over a small room into a an art studio

Question

room is 10x10 and has a trendle bed kids to visit and a book case covered by a screen, do you have any ideas I work with oils and have to have a stand up easel and tubor to work.

If you're going to paint with oil, the number one thing to think about is ventilation! And, I would definitely have a lock on the closet door that you keep your oils in, for the safety of any visiting children.
