This super easy blue/silver ornament centerpiece is perfect for Christmas or Winter Wonderland theme home decor. Christmas is one of my favorite holidays, and I still love to use some Christmas decorations for my January home decor. This DIY centerpiece is perfect for the transition period from December to January. This centerpiece does not have the traditional Christmas red and green colors, so it is perfect for winter decor in January.

Supplies:

  • DIY Clear Ornament
  • Battery operated fairy lights (I used blue. You can also use warm or cool white)
  • Small blue and silver ornaments
  • Drinking glass or Cylinder vase that has snowflake design (if you can't find it, you can get snowflake stickers or snowflake window clings and stick on a blank cylinder vase)
  • Scissors (You will need it to remove the label and the plastic hook from the DIY Clear Ornament. I forgot to take a picture of my scissors. Any pair of scissors will work.)
Supplies

Left to Right: Fairy Lights, DIY Clear Ornament, Small blue and silver ornaments and Drinking glass/Cylinder vase with snowflake design.

  • DIY Clear Ornament (Purchased from Dollar Tree)
  • Battery operated fairy lights (Purchased from Amazon. Use blue or warm or cool white)
  • Small blue and silver ornaments (Purchased on clearance from Target)
  • Drinking glass or Cylinder vase that has snowflake design (Purchased from Dollar Tree. If you can't find it, you can get snowflake stickers or snowflake window clings and stick on a blank cylinder vase)
  • First, use scissors to remove the label and plastic hook from the DIY clear ornament. Next, remove the silver cap from the DIY clear ornament. Turn on the fairy lights. Then insert the fairy lights inside the DIY Clear Ornament. My fairy lights battery compartment was too big to fit in the ornament, so I just left it outside the ornament. Put the silver cap back on the ornament.
  • Place the small blue and silver ornaments inside the cylinder vase. Make sure to leave some room at the top for the DIY Clear Ornament and fairy lights battery compartment.

Finally, place the fairy lights with the battery compartment inside the cylinder vase. I rearranged the ornaments to cover the fairy lights battery compartment. The last step is to place the DIY Clear Ornament on top of the cylinder vase.

The Final Centerpiece! :)

The Finale! If you do not want the silver cap of the DIY Clear Ornament to show, you can wrap the top part of the cylinder vase with gemstone wrap or diamond wrap (found in floral section of Dollar Tree).

For a different look, you can also use this LED battery operated Christmas ornament. I purchased this ornament from Dollar Tree.
