Are you hosting Thanksgiving this year? I have a great, SUPER easy way to add a unique touch to your tablescape that will make your guests feel special. Read on to see how I created these DIY Owl Place Cards.
Recently I found a beautiful book at a flea market that featured drawings of every type of bird you can imagine. The drawings are gorgeous and I knew would make for lovely art.
For this project, I found the pages that illustrated owls and scanned them into my computer. I printed off the pages then on pearlized cardstock, and cut out each owl.
My neighbor had a few tree limbs he had recently trimmed laying out for the trash, so I sawed off a small piece of the limb and cut into 2 in. sections for the place card base. I used my saw to slice a small ridge into each wooden base that could hold the printed owl.
Add nice printing of each guest's name onto your card, and then done! I have the FREE printable for these owl pages on my blog so you can download them and make your own place cards. Have fun!!
