I love decorating for fall and creating special tablescapes for Thanksgiving and other holiday meals, but I don't like to spend a lot of money! I'm a huge fan of using items from my local Goodwill to create unique centerpieces and holiday vignettes. See below for some fall decorating inspiration using inexpensive items from the thrift store! And check out my Top 10 Thrift Store Makeover Projects !
I love this grouping of metallic painted figurines and old books with painted spines. It makes for a unique centerpiece but would also make for pretty mantel decor.
It is amazing how many bird figurines you can find at the Goodwill for next to nothing once you start looking! While not terribly exciting as is, they can be transformed into modern accessories with a coat of metallic gold or copper spray paint.
Faux greenery is also a great thrift store item and can be given a modern makeover with metallic spray paint.
Here's an arrangement using the gold painted leaves and swans. Meant to be soap dishes, they work great for holding a mini pumpkin!
I also love finding beautiful glass vases at the Goodwill. Typically for $1 each. I often paint the inside of them which makes them look stunning. Check out my step-by-step DIY Vase Painting Tutorial!
