I love to entertain family and friends. Especially during the holidays and this year, I wanted to set a special table to honor a few friends. Besides, I love to set a putting together tables for my family and friends to enjoy. And these days, I am loving all things gold so when I found these white and gold dinner plates, I just couldn't pass them up. They offer elegance as well as function.
Keep in mind, when setting a table, it is not about being matchy-matchy. It is about achieving a modern mix. I also love using pieces found at flea markets and thrift stores to set at pretty table too.

The tables begins with a simple white linen tablecloth found at a thrift store. Next I added the gold plate chargers purchased at the Christmas Shop. I then placed the Lenox Federal Gold Dinner plate on top and then added a salad plate and butter plate to the place setting in the Lenox Casual Radiance pattern.
What a striking place setting this makes. I am in love.... Lastly, a delicate white tea cup finishes my brunch setting and mercury glass candle holders in a coppery gold hue add ambiance and sparkle.
I added a fresh rose to each place setting to make it extra special.
This spectacular cake/pastry stand came from Home Goods. What a find!! Is is so beautiful and elegant.

I purchased these gorgeous flowers at the New York Flower Market on a recent trip. Let me tell you, I was like a kid in a candy store. What an incredible selection!!! I have never seen so many varieties of flowers in one place. If ever you travels takes to New York City, be sure to visit. You won't regret it.
Let the table fun begin...
