This DIY transformation turned out better than I even imagined it! You can impress your guests when you tell them you made these DIY napkin rings. Its so simple even your small child can help with this project!
Start by grabbing a pack of these Dollar Tree napkin rings. They are in the "party" section and not the kitchenwares where one might expect. Paint the rings using a color of your choice. I used two of my favorite colors, white and sage. Chalk paint is preferable as it adheres to most surfaces better, especially slick surfaces such as these napkin rings
Once the paint is dry use the transfer sheet purchased at Dollar Tree also to cut out your desired designs. I made all 6 of mine with one set and had leftover designs to make another set of 6. This process takes a few seconds. Use a credit card to rub the design onto the ring
This set of 3 markers is from Dollar Tree and I use it for all of my faux distressing. Take the marker and run it randomly along the edges of the napkin ring to give the appearance of distressed paint. If you prefer a cleaner look simply skip this final step
They are ready to use as soon as they're finished. I didnt feel the need to seal these as they will not be handled much. The possibilities for this project are endless! A Fall and Christmas set of rings are in my near future!
