I’m always looking for an inexpensive way to decorate my rooms or to add new subtle touches to existing decor.

This is a quick, easy and super inexpensive way to add a little character to your white plates. It’s classic and comfortable, traditional yet rustic.
Find inexpensive white plates at your local discount stores.
Use rustic jute twine and scissors to cut a long length of twine.
Wrap some twine around a plate to give it some texture and dimension.
Secure it with a knot in the back.
Use plate racks to display the twine wrapped plates on a shelf.
Or get some plate wall hanging kits to hang the plate on a wall.
The white plate is neutral enough to go with any home decor style. The jute twine adds some interest and texture to the simple plate. That is decorating on a budget!
