Mother's Day is coming up - you can make this plate and glass set for just a few dollars and give mom handmade gift.

You'll need:

A clear glass plate
A clear glass
Oil based paint markers
Acrylic paints for glass

Beforehand - Prep your plate & glass - make sure it's clean and wipe with alcohol before starting.
Prep your plate - make sure it's clean and wipe with alcohol before starting. Flip the plate upside down and trace your first hand on the dish, and let dry completely which won't take long.

Optional - you can add the names of the people.
Add your second person's hand, and let dry completely.

*If you are adding names - you'll need to write backwards so that when you flip the plate over it's the correct direction.
Continue adding hands until you have everyone's on the plate that you want.
Let the plate dry completely.

Next for the glass...
Dip a finger of your choice in the paint and make a finger print on the glass.
This will be the center of your flower.
Have your next person dip their finger in the paint and make finger prints around the center dot for the petals. My daughter picked blue for her favorite color.
Have your next person dip in the paint and make more flower petals. You can adjust how many finger prints each person does to include everyone.
Use your paint marker to make a stem.
For the last set of finger prints make leaves on the stem.

Follow your acrylic glass paint instructions - but mine says to let set for 4 days and then bake.

Place dishes in the cold oven, turn oven to 350 and bake for 30 minutes. After the timer goes, turn the oven off and let the dishes cool completely in the oven.
*Optional - you can spray the painted part only with an acrylic sealer if desired. Remember to tape off the top of the glass before doing so.

Dishes are hand wash only.
