I was at the Dollar Tree, looking for some items to craft with, when I decided to make a new wreath for Memorial Day.
Scroll down to see how I made this wreath. Super easy and inexpensive!
Here it is, ready to wrap! It took longer to type this, than dismantle it. I've mentioned in other postings that I recycle and reuse my wreaths numerous times. This was from a couple of years ago. There were old red and white flowers and candy cane ribbon attached to it.
I bought two scarfs in red and white and a blue star garland, all for $3.
I loosely wrapped (so I could slide them around) the two scarfs and tied them off in loose knots.
The hardest part was untangling the star garland! It was wrapped around itself multiple times. I just arranged things as neatly as could be managed until I got the arrangement I wanted.
Here I added the eagle bell I found a week or so ago at DT. Which puts the whole thing at $4. He was so cute, and I knew if I didn't get him that day, he would be gone (and I was right!). You could add red white and blue flowers or other items to fill it in, but, I have to say, it looks very festive on my french door. Have fun and play with it until it's yours! No doubt this wreath will be recycled again!
