This project started when I purchased a wine stopper at a yard sale. It had witch's legs sticking out of the top. Then with a little imagination, I came up with a cute Halloween decoration. I listed this as medium skill level because of having to cut critters in two.
Start off by bending some stiff wire into a mummy shape.  Next thing is to wrap it with gauze, then glue on some wiggly eyes.  I cut the gauze in little strips and made sure to leave a little hanging in places.
I bought a little cauldron at Dollar Tree.  It was orange so I painted it black.  Then I cut out a circle to fit into the cauldron out of cardboard.  Next I cut the center out so the stopper could fit into it.  Then I glued purple glitter to the cardboard and glued it into place.  Sorry this tutorial isn't showing step by step, but this is a finished project that I wanted to share.

I put the stopper in the middle, then cut part of a frog and bug, and glued them to the cardboard.  The spoon is actually a kabob stick that I stuck into the cardboard.
I made the snake out of clay, glued it on, as well as cutting a turtle in half, and gluing it on.  Lastly, I had to have an eye of newt, so glued a wiggly eye in there.
Here's what it looks like when it's altogether.
