Bats are all the rage this Halloween and making them is just as easy pressing the 'Add to cart' button (and they are much cheaper this way)!

  • Black poster board (22x28)-bought at Walmart for $0.25
  • Bat printable-google is your friend here
  • White crayon or colored pencil
  • Scissors
  • Painters tape
Print and cut out printable

Once you find your bat printable, print it and cut it out. You could also find different size printables to add a little more ‘jazz’.

Place your cut out bat printable and trace it onto your poster board, using a white crayon or white colored pencil. (Both work well).

Continue tracing

Once you are done tracing one bat, move the printable around the board and continue tracing more until your entire board is covered. You will need to get creative to get every inch filled 😉

It is time to cut out all of those bats you traced! This is the part that takes the most time.

Bend the wings

Once all of your bats are cut out, it is time to give some movement to them! Bend the wings up at the invisible crease to help create this.

Tape them up!

Now it is the fun part! Use that painter's tape, roll a piece or 2 for each bat, and have fun placing them throughout your home!

Place them everywhere!

They are the perfect addition to an entryway!

Add some around your fall decor!

They give your walls more character!

Spice up your pantry!

I added them throughout my entire first/main floor!

They are bat-tastic!! ;) Enjoy!
