BOO! Simple Halloween Doormat

3 Materials
Need a last minute way to get your doorstep ready for Halloween? Then check out this way to transform a basic black mat from the hardware store in minutes. Such a fun way to greet your trick or treaters! If you love this Halloween idea, don't miss my other Halloween crafts!
You only need a few simple supplies for this project: 1) an inexpensive black doormat (find at Home Depot or Target). 2) Large letter stencils (find in office supply aisle), 3) White craft paint and 4) Foam pouncer or brush
Within minutes you can have a doormat perfect for Halloween!
Step 1: Start by taping the stencils in place to the mat. You can spell whatever you want!
Step 2: Squeeze out some white craft paint (I love Martha Stewart multi-surface acrylic craft paint) on a paper plate and dip your pouncer brush in the paint and then up and down on the mat. The mat will soak up paint so you'll need to add a couple coats.
Step 3: Once all your letters are covered lift up the stencils to reveal your new mat!
Every doormat needs a great front door wreath to pair with it! Check out my favorite DIY Halloween Paper Fan Wreath!
