Shamrock Wreath

Dollar Tree currently has these MDF shamrock shapes in stock and I knew it would be perfect for a St. Patrick's Day wreath! This project was super simple, cheap and took less than 30 minutes to put together.

Paint the outer rings of the shamrock in dark green. It doesn't have to be precise as we will be covering the heart shapes. You can also remove the twine from the holes at the top as you will be needing it for later.

Take smaller pieces of scrapbook paper and Mod Podge them onto the hearts in the center.

Use a blade to cut around the heart shapes and remove the excess scrapbook paper.

Next, you will need a bag a floral grass. They have this at any craft store, but they actually also carry it Dollar Tree. Use a hot glue gun and apply glue to the green area between your hearts. Grab handfuls of the floral moss and press down on top of the glue to secure it.

Fill the entire green painted area with the moss. The more full the better! After the area was filled, I used to scissors to trim up the moss and make it look neater.

Add you twine back into the holes and you are all ready to hang it! I just love the texture on this. This is a perfect wreath to hang both indoors or outside.

I loved this. I made one, but modified it. Love it, too.

This is great. Very pretty, not tacky like much of the St Patrick’s Day stuff out there. I like the high contrast of dark green and light pattern, really pops. Thanks for sharing
