Adorable Easter mason jars that you can make with simple craft supplies and upcycled jars.

I am a big fan of mason jar crafts like these upcycled jars in my bathroom or this cute snowman jar. You just can’t go wrong with a decorated mason jar!

Grab a couple of small jars, I used two leftover from my pantry, and some simple craft supplies I know you already have.

Supplies

  • 2 small jars
  • Craft paint in yellow and white
  • Paintbrushes
  • Scraps of cardstock and/or craft foam
  • Googly eyes
  • Pipe cleaner
  • Pom pom
  • Scissors
  • Hot glue gun

Start by washing and drying the jars, then add a couple thin coats of paint, letting them dry in between each coat. For super smooth glossy jars, use a gloss spray paint. I prefer a matte or chalk finish which you can achieve with regular craft paint. While the paint is drying, you can cut out the embellishments to create the bunny and chick.

I used googly eyes for each jar. For the chick I added a beak and feet cut from orange craft foam. For the bunny I cut ears and feet from cardstock and used a pipe cleaner for whiskers and a pom pom for the nose. Using hot glue, I attached all the embellishments to the dry jars.

Once everything was attached, I screwed on the lids. I had sprayed them with white spray paint to cover the writing on my lids, but you could leave them the natural metal. These jars make fun little Easter gifts, they can be filled with candy or small trinkets for kids or adults.

Great! A slit in the top of the jar lid some change inside and some Easter-type variety of candy will be fantastic for the grands and great grands this year. Much gratitude! I best get busy gathering items to load up my craft table! Aloha 'oe!
