Make this beautiful scarf wreath in under fifteen minutes using a Dollar Tree laundry basket and scarves in patriotic colors!

This patriotic-inspired wreath is inexpensive and fun to make. Check out the list of supplies, then keep reading and I'll show you how to put one together!

First, pick up a Dollar Tree laundry basket.

Cut the top (handle part) off to use as a wreath base.

Don't throw out the rest of that dollar store basket.

I also bought three of these red infinity scarves from Dollar Tree.

And one blue check pattern scarf from Target. I used this scarf as an accent color/pattern on the outside of my wreath.

Wrap the wreath base completely with scarves. I did not cut the infinity scarves. I wanted my wreath to have a little bulk to it, but that is an option.

Use safety pins and pin along the back of the wreath to secure everything.

Next, wrap the second color scarf loosely around the wreath (as shown above).

Allow a little of the underneath color to peek through and secure the second scarf with safety pins along the back of the wreath as needed.

Decorate your wreath with a bow or any decorations you have on hand. I used another red scarf to make a bow and I bought a glitter star from DT to hang in the center.
