How to Make DIY Clay Tea Light Ghosts Using K-Cups
I've seen so many adorable ceramic tea light ghosts for sale for around $70 to $90 for a set. I decided to make my own for a fraction of the price!

Tools and materials:
- Air-dry clay
- Rolling pin
- K-Cup
- Water
- Craft items for the witch's hat
- Paint
- Batty-powered tea lights
1. Roll out the clay
Grab a ball of air-dry clay. Roll out to form a circle.
2. Use a K-Cup to get the shape
Place K-Cup in the center (for spacing) and use a metal straw to poke holes for the eyes and mouth.
Remove K-Cup and lift up the clay. VERY gently, place over the top of the upside-down K-Cup.
3. Smooth
Dip your finger in water and gently smooth out all edges. Be careful not to add too much water or the clay will fall apart.
4. Dry
Let dry completely (you'll remove the K-cup once completely dry). This may take several days.
If you want to add a witch hat, make sure to also form this with the clay. We used a glue gun to attach ours once it was dry, but it would be more secure if you added it before it dries.
5. Paint
Paint the ghost white with acrylic paint.
Optional: I painted ribbon the color I wanted, tied it in a knot, trimmed it, and used hot glue to attach it to the witch's hat.
6. Place the tea lights
Place battery tea lights under and you have the cutest ghost tea lights for under $10 (depending on what supplies you have on hand)!

Love. Any reason why you couldn’t stack k cups to get different heights? How much fun to make a ghost family representing your family? Add a touch of each personality perhaps?
