Your little princess will love making this beautiful DIY Disney Cinderella Pumpkin for Halloween.

Once upon a time, there was a girl who loved Disney (that’s me). Growing up, she always dreamed about wearing the beautiful blue dress Cinderella wore to the ball. She also was dying to try on those glass slippers too, because you know, it’s all about the shoes. While those two dreams never became reality, I did marry my find and marry my handsome prince. But that is a story for another day. As a Disney fan, it’s really hard for me to choose one favorite princess. I love them all, but Cinderella and Rapunzel hold a slight edge to the others. I am back today with another Disney-inspired pumpkin to add to my collection. This DIY Cinderella Pumpkin is perfect next to the Minnie Mouse Pumpkin I shared with you a few weeks ago.

TO CREATE YOUR OWN DIY DISNEY CINDERELLA PUMPKIN YOU WILL NEED:
  • Craft Pumpkin
  • Light Blue Metallic Painticon
  • Extra Fine Light Blue Glittericon
  • 1/2 yard Blue Tulle
  • 1/2 yard Light Blue Sequin Fabric
  • Self-adhesive rhinestonesicon
  • Self-Adhesive Rhinestone tape trimicon
  • Paint Brushicon
  • Pinsicon
  • Scissorsicon
Start off by painting the pumpkin with two coats of the light blue metallic paint, allowing each coat to dry thoroughly. As soon as you apply the second coat of paint, sprinkle the light blue glitter over the pumpkin.

Take your adhesive rhinestone tape trim and run down each groove of the pumpkin. Add the individual self-adhesive rhinestone and embellishments around the pumpkin.
The last step is to simulate Cinderella’s beautiful blue dress. No sewing required. Pinky promise! To create the sash, I measured a piece of blue tulle around the pumpkin and then cut into a 3-inch wide strip. Repeat with the blue sequined fabric. Line them on top of each other and find the center. Cut a small piece of the rhinestone adhesive strip. Wrap around and glue in place. Now take some pins and wrap the piece of fabric around pumpkin using the pins to hold in place.
I have to say that Fairy Godmother, Jaq & Gus would all approve of this DIY Cinderella Pumpkin. I just love the soft blue tones and silver accents. If Cinderella isn’t one of your favorite princesses, use this as inspiration and create your own DIY Disney Princess Pumpkin? Let your creativity shine. Which princess is your favorite?
