Egg Carton Eyeballs

Don't throw away your empty egg cartons. You can use them to make a ton of projects, like these Egg Carton Eyeballs.

This project works with either Styrofoam or paper egg cartons. If you're going to use Styrofoam, you can display these outside for an outdoor Halloween decoration. If you're going to use a paper egg carton, you're going to need to only use these for an indoor decoration because the paper won't hold up outside when it rains.

If you only use plastic egg containers, that's good for the earth but not for this project because you're not able to cut it up into pieces like you need to for this craft.

Get the full tutorial here.

Cut off the top of the egg carton. Throw it away because you will only need the bottom part (that holds the eggs) for this craft.

Spray paint the entire egg carton black. Set it aside to dry.

Paint eyes on the bottom of the egg carton. Set it aside to dry.

Carefully cut the egg carton eyes into "pairs" of eyes.

Puncture a tiny hole in the top, between the eyes. Put a pipe cleaner in the hole.

You can use that pipe cleaner to hang these wherever you want.

If you're hanging these inside, you can use string, twine, or ribbon instead.
