Do you guys have your Halloween decorations up yet? I’m one of those people who decorates, and then continues to decorate up until the holiday. We have lots of flat basketballs here because of our dog, Remy, and I found another great way to upcycle one. I used a flat ball to create this spider and it really came out cute. I made this DIY Large Fuzzy Spider with items I already had at home, which makes project even better.

I used a fuzzy black pillowcase for this project. You can pretty much use any kind of fuzzy fabric you have or shop for some. I placed a flat basketball in the center of my fabric and pulled all 4 corners together. Stitch the corners together.

After the first 4 corners are stitched together, pull the remaining fabric up and stitch so the basketball is no longer exposed.

The legs are made with wired fur I found at Hobby Lobby a couple years ago.

Look for it by the felt or feather boa section. Cut the wired fur into legs with scissors.

I used two ornaments for the eyes and painted them with craft paint.

I used the extra wired fur to wrap around the eyes and secured with my hot glue gun.

Next it was time to glue the legs to the spider. I used a hot glue gun to secure to the bottom of my spider. Flip the spider right side up and glue the eyes to the top.

Add decorations to your spider and enjoy your new friend indoors or out!
