Make pretty paper flowers using inexpensive and colorful dollar store napkins. I used this technique to make a red white and blue patriotic floral wreath.

You'll need a wreath form, paper napkins, burlap, a scissors and hot glue. You'll also need long picks or toothpicks to secure the flowers.

Start by wrapping the wreath form in burlap.

Start the flowers by cutting fringe into a white or solid colored napkin then wrapping it around a wood pick. Secure it with hot glue to create the center of a flower.

For the petals, cut tear drop shapes from a patterned napkin, I used 12 petals per flower.

Using hot glue, add each petal to the center fringe overlapping to create a full look.

Once you have enough flowers, use the sharp end of the pick to stick the flower into the foam wreath. You can also use a little hot glue to make sure it really stays in place.

This easy light weight wreath is perfect for summer. You can use this same technique for any season. The flowers can be pulled off the wreath form and you can add different colors throughout the year.
