Boo!

Check Out the Simple, Step-by-Step for Your Flying Ghost!

Dollar Tree Mop and Light Up Pumpkins.

Dollar Tree Plastic Tablecloth.

Tree Branches. Dollar Tree Sparkly Pipe Cleaners. Ikea Net Curtain.

First: Construct the Ghost Armature.

Take the Mop (the mop head will be the ghost head) and attach 2 thin tree branches to the mop pole - attach the branches to the pole with tape and wire. Make it secure to stand up to the wind.

Wrap the wire and tape securely to the mop pole.

Loop a pipe cleaner into the hole on the mop head.

The ghost can now hang from the pie cleaner.

Cover the armature with the white plastic tablecloth.

The tablecloth will conceal the mechanisms and the pole.

Wrap the sides of the tablecloth to the branches (arms of the ghost)

Securing the sides of the tablecloth to the branches to keep the cloth in place and conceal the armature. Keep the ends of the branches exposed for wispy tree branch fingers.

Snip a tiny hole in the tablecloth to expose the pipe cleaner.

Now the ghost can hang from the pipe cleaner.

Wrap Battery Twinkle Lights around the armature and mop head.

A timer battery lights works great. But if not, it is easy to lift the tablecloth to access the battery pack to turn the lights on and off.

Secure the battery pack with tape to the crossed pole and branches.

Wind the light strand over the mop head, the branch arms and down the pole body.

Cover with the tablecloth.

The white tablecloth is opaque and will cover the armature.

Snip a tiny hole in the center of the Ikea Net Curtain Panel.

Insert the pipe cleaner through the hole in the net curtain. Drape the net curtain over the armature. The net gives the ghost an airy look. I used 1 panel of the pair.

Wrap 1 pipe cleaner around the stem of the lighted pumpkin.

The ghost will hold the pumpkins in his hands.

Wrap the pipe cleaner around the fingers to secure the pumpkin.

Now the ghost holds a pumpkin in each hand.

Black poster paper.

Cut out 2 ovals for eyes and 1 oval for the mouth from the black poster paper. Hot glue the pieces to the net curtain to create the ghost face.

Hang so he floats on the wind. Creepy by Day...

Secure the net curtain to the branches with pipe cleaners. This will keep the net fabric in place when he floats on the wind.

Dazzling by Night!

Happy Spooky Halloween!
