Easter Bouquet

At Christmas time I received a pretty bouquet of natural elements wrapped in burlap. That bouquet inspired me to make one for Easter.

I picked up these little eggs at Michael's. They were the perfect size, but I wanted different colors and I didn't care for the metallic flecks.

I painted the eggs with Dixie Belle Paint using the colors, Vintage Duck Egg, Daisy, Limeade, and Apricot.

When the paint was dry, I used a nail to make a hole in the bottom of each egg, then inserted a wooden skewer that I had cut in half.

I gave each egg an aged look using Van Dyke Brown Glaze.

I used the burlap that was leftover from the Christmas bouquet, formed it back into its cone shape, then secured it with twine.

I filled the burlap cone with moss.

Then I inserted the wooden skewers into the moss.

Using my home computer, I printed out, Happy Easter, onto card stock. I then cut the card stock into a pennant shape. I placed the pennant on a skewer, then inserted it into the bouquet.

This bouquet will not wither and fade, and can be used in Easter decor year after year.
