Last year I made an adorable easter bunny garland for my fireplace mantle. I loved how I was able to create it using things that I already had on hand.

I wanted to change the look of the garland this year, but I also wanted to make it using materials that I had.

After looking through my craft supply stash, I found a whole stack of paint chips that I had from a previous project. I was inspired by some of the more muted pastel colours. Once I selected the colours I was going to use I got to work.

Read below to see how I used paint chips to create this adorable FREE Easter garland for my mantle!

All you need for this quick little DIY are some paint chips in your choice of colours, ribbon, tape and a pair of scissors.

You could of course use construction paper or card stock for this project, if that is what you have on hand.

Trace an egg shape onto one of the paint chips and cut it out. I used this as a template for the rest of the eggs. This way they were all the same size and looked cohesive. Cut out as many eggs as you think you will need.

Tape the backside of the eggs onto a piece of ribbon, making sure the ribbon isn’t twisted as you go.

I taped the ribbon closer to the top of the eggs. This allowed for the eggs to hang straight and prevented them from twisting around.

It’s that simple! Hang up your cute garland anywhere you want to add a little festive touch! I think it looks adorable hanging up here on my mantle!
