Easy Ransom Letter Spiderweb

I’ve had the idea for this DIY Ransom Letter Spiderweb for a long time and finally got around to making it happen. It was easy to make and I love how it turned out. I went with the words Hocus Pocus, but you can add any message to your spiderweb. I love how it looks on the front door, but also as an indoor decoration.

I had this hoop that was previously used for another project. It had some yarn glued to it, but I knew it would be covered, so I didn’t mind. A hula hoop from the dollar store would be perfect for this project.

Start by tying a piece of yarn to the hoop. Add a drop of hot glue to secure. Tie the other piece of yarn to the other side of the hoop. I tied 4 pieces of yarn to my hoop to start the web.

I tied a piece of yarn to one of the strands, wrapped around the next strand and continued until I had a full circle. You can also start wrapping in the center and continue going around until the web is complete.

Once the spiderweb was finished, I wrapped yarn around the hoop, securing with my hot glue gun.

For the ransom letters, I cut out a punch of squares in different sizes. I drew letters on some and cut out letters with felt for others. You can use glue to add the letters to the felt squares or stitch them on with embroidery floss. I stitched mine and made each letter different.

I used my hot glue gun to secure the letters to the web and added a spider to the center.

This DIY Ransom Letter Spiderweb turned out adorable and it looks great indoors or out!
