My daughter loves candies. It is good, but the problem I have with it is that she sometimes forget to store them in the candy jar. Normally it's just a small thing I just notice it when I clean room then put it back to where it should be. However, the small problem became the big problem because of the heat this summer. As we all know what the candies are made of, sugar that melt by heat and attracts certain insects that works really hard during summer, it got a serious issue on my cabinet and here is what I have done.
Step 1: Have plastic container and metal lid of can.
The lid of can could be anything which is soft enough to make a hole. One I used was the lid of tea can and it seemed bit too hard, but it turned out okay at the end.
The container could be glass made too. I just picked this one because simply had it and my daughter likes this bear one.
Step 2: Put small toys inside the container.
If you are using glass jar, then it is not necessary to make it stable by putting things inside. Since this one was made of thin light plastic needed some weight, so I put small toys of my daughter. In this way, she would remember those when she sees it at same time they gives the stand good weight to be stable.
Step 3: Cut the stylophone to fit inside the lid.
This stylophone piece will hold candies and needs to be inside of lid. Please be careful when you cut, but it didn't really have to be exact fitting size. It would still work as long as it fits inside.
Step 4: place the lid with stylophone inside.
I used plastic tape to hold it.
In this step, I needed to make holes that hold each candy.
Completed! In addition, I put the little sign in middle. Since this candy stand looks fun and made my daughter really excited, all candies we buy have been placed properly without being melt.
Making this one wasn't really tough, so I think it may be the good idea for kids party or probably halloweenicon
