Easy Easter Sign

There are so many pretty gift bags on display this time of year, I thought, wow, how great would one of those look on my front door? So I made a sign. Here's the super simple DIY.

I chose a bag from the dollar store. They have a variety to choose from, different sizes, shapes, colors and one for every holiday and occasion. I decided to go with something whimsical.

I started by painting my board ~ one that already had another paper bag sign for Christmas on the other side. I used regular white craft paint and a foam brush.

I cut the front of the bunny bag off and when the paint was fully dry, I glued it to the board using a hot glue gun.

To add a little interest to the sign, I trimmed the top and bottom with coordinating ribbons. I simply laid one over the other with hot glue.

I didn't need to add a hanger since the scroll on the wood caught the hook on my door. A bag, a board, a little ribbon and, voila, a springy welcome to my home!
