Halloween Door Mat Using Iron On Vinyl

Do you like to decorate your front porch for Halloween, but do not want to spend a lot of money? I picked up a plain mat from the Dollar Tree and decided to use iron on vinyl to personalize it with a spooky saying. This is an easy craft that you can whip up in less than 10 minutes, for less than $10!

Supplies Needed for Spooky Doormat:

Cheap mat from Dollar Tree

Iron on vinyl

Cutting machine

Iron or Heat Press

I used my Cricut to cut out the word "Boo!" but you could hand cut vinyl or use a different machine.

Once you cut out the design, place it in the center of the mat. You can measure, but I like to eyeball it.

Use an iron or heat press to adhere the vinyl design to the mat.

Within minutes, I made a cute mat for my front door and it only cost me $1, since I already had white vinyl on hand. You could also make a stencil and use paint if you do not have iron on vinyl or a cutting machine!

I layered it over a plain black mat at my front door and also used removable vinyl to add a Trick or Treat message to the door. Head to my blog below for more easy Halloween crafts!
