At the moment I'm creating 'Halloween' themed bits for my 'Halloween' sideboard.
And I wanted something to put the treats into...
That lead to this re-purpose upcycle jar project.
These jars were part of my endless AQUA collection,
and they were destined for the goodwill store.
But then I came up with this cool idea to 'Halloween' them to use on my 'Halloween' sideboard vignette.
Have you got any jars tucked away in the back of a cupboard?
All I did was buy a can of orange spray paint. The kinda paint that says it sticks to anything. And it adhered to the glass with no problem at all. Even without a primer paint. I left the jars to dry for a week as initially the 'fume' smell was high.
But after a week airing and drying on the covered deck the smell disappeared.
The next step was to make a label. Which I used dollar store gift tags. Painted them black with acrylic artists paint, and then once dry stuck on my words using gold stick on letters.
Then I tied the treat and boo labels to the jars with some rustic looking thin twine. The wrapped treats just need to go in the jars, and they are finished.
