BOO! and welcome to Fall in Iowa -finally!!! Happy cause this means I can start decorating for Halloween. And have I got a cute idea for your table with this Halloween Mini Place Setting DIY.

Halloween is one of my favorites for many reasons and as you can see, I’ve added touches here and there. But this post is about an adorable touch you can add to your table.

A couple of month’s ago I was at Hobby Lobby and came upon some mini bamboo charcuterie cutting boards. Mini, cause they’re only about 4″ tall and precious!

My initial thought was to hand ’em over to my daughter so they could laser something unique on each one. They run an engraving side-hustle and make amazing pieces.

However, I didn’t want to make them exclusive to one occasion or season and that’s how this DIY came about.

I had a package of pre-made chalkboard vinyl cutout labels I’d bought sometime back. I opted for these as I can just peel ’em off and make something different for another place setting! How cool is that?

You can use a chalk pen but I decided to paint these with something Halloween appropriate. Using white acrylic paint and a fine tipped paint brush, I spelled out “BOO” on each one.

Halloween Mini Place Setting DIY

What you’ll need:

  • mini boards (Hobby Lobby)
  • Chalkboard labels
  • Acrylic paint in white
  • paintbrush

Seriously, how cute are these mini boards? I love that now I can just peel and toss these labels and make new ones for any upcoming event or occasion. If you can find these little boards, pick some up.

I snatched these up for $2 each at Hobby Lobby. I think they would be awesome for a personal charcuterie for a special someone.

Now, you’ll want to check back often cause Fall is my favorite time of year and I will be posting some more fun and easy DIY’s along with some delicious recipes–like the next one!

So, come back and let’s create together!

You could also paint the "label" area on with chalkboard paint. Whaa! Laa!

So refreshing looking. It’s not a pumpkin. So over taking any old thing painting Orange, slap a jack o lantern face in it and call it a pumpkin. Worse yet taking soft material and wrapping string to get pumpkin grooves that look like butt cheeks. I see this not just for Halloween (there is another side). I could let my imagination go on this. Thanks for inspiration and sharing
