Halloween Spiderweb Project...from Grandma's Attic!

$5
Easy
Who would have thought that embroidery hoops and vintage crocheted doilies could come together with a little paint...some fabric dye...and some creepy, crawly embellishments to become PERFECTLY SPOOKY Spiderwebs?? Super easy to make, and you may find everything you need in Grandma's Attic! (or a thrift store)
Vintage crochet doilies, like the ones on grandma's end tables, look a little like spiderwebs, don't they?
A quick rinse in some grey fabric dye can raise the BOO! factor...perfect for a spiderweb...
Place it in a large embroidery hoop (which I painted black with black craft paint), and trim off the excess...
Add some fake spiders from the craft or dollar store (hot glue them to the doily)...
And to finish it up, use some thread and another fake spider to add a little hanging creep factor! Just tie the thread to the doily or string through the embroidery hoop.
For another version, I used bits of a white pipe cleaner wrapped in medical gauze to create a tiny mummy- and hot glued him to the center of my web!
Isn't that awesome! So easy to do, too. Happy Halloween from Sadie Seasongoods!

I have to add to my previous comment, I saw this and actually made 3 of them all different sizes. had 2 doilies (probably from my Aunt Sadie) and bought 2 more at Dollar Tree (still have one)..painted the hoops black and kept one for me....here's the kicker: sold 2 of these at a craft show for $5.00 each...LOL keep those great ideas coming, I need the money...LOL

These are beautiful without the spiders. I think I'll make some for pretty decor
