DIY Mini Flower Pots With Eggs from hootshack.com

Use for Easter decor or for Spring decor.

This DIY Mini Flower Pots With Eggs will be a quick project for you to make. I can picture these in so many places in your home. They’re easy to make but they make a cute statement piece to jazz up your Spring or Easter decor!

The DIY Mini Flower Pots with eggs can be used for tiered tray decor, at each place setting for an Easter table idea, on a shelf, or even in a table centerpiece. You don’t need many things to make them and you might even be able to find moss outside.

Supplies for the DIY Mini Flower Pots With Eggs

  • Peat pots or terra cotta pots
  • Ribbon, fabric strips or drop cloth strips
  • Wood buttons or other embellishments
  • White paint thinned down with water (optional)
  • Moss - I wish I could find the faux moss for you as I used but any moss will work.
  • Faux eggs (if you can’t find speckled, buy a solid color and flick black paint off of paintbrush to speckle them)
  • Silk flowers (optional)
  • Mini nest (optional)
Basic supplies you’ll need but so many other things can be used.

For the drop cloth pot, I cut a strip of drop cloth and frayed the edges by pulling out a few strings on each side. I glued the strip together on the back of the pot and then glued the button onto the front. Stuff some moss in the pot, add some eggs and flowers (if you’d like) and you’re done! Ok, you can glue the items in if you think people will be picking them up. If you’re using them for a tablescape, I would consider using the glue gun.

Mix paint with water on a plate to lightly paint the pots.

A stripe of scrap fabric is what I used here but ribbon works, too.

Drop cloth with frayed edges and a simple wood button.

You can see that I added a mini nest to one at the last minute and used some smaller faux eggs that I had in my craft supplies. You can get creative and add whatever you want. I painted one pot white and left the other natural. More items are sourced at Hootshack.com

Make each one unique! I added one silk fower that I took from an arrangement in my house icon
