Today I am joining some sweet ladies for our Under Ten on the Tenth Blog hop. They are all so talented I can’t wait for you to see their projects.

If you have been following me for long you know I love to repurpose Items. When I seen these spindles in my supplies and knew what I would finally use them for. I am making some Easter carrots form some old spindles I had. If you do not have any laying around you can get some finials at Hobby Lobby or Walmart and do the same thing. Or you can buy inexpensive big spindles at your lumber company they are around $3 each at ours.

Here are the supplies I used: Old spindles, jute some greenery. Tools you will need are glue gun, scissors, sandpaper your choice of paint.

First I painted the spindles it took three coats to really cover them good.

After they dried I sanded them a bit to give them a distressed look and added some antiquing wax to them.

Then I started the stem by drilling a small hole in the top of the spindle and gluing a piece of the greenery in it. My greenery was a little heavy but I like the way it drapes like a real carrots would. And then just keep wrapping your jute around the end of the spindle until you like the way it looks.

Now be sure and visit the other ladies projects below, you will be inspired for sure.
