I have lots of driftwood that I have found on the beach. Since Easter is approaching I though it be nice to make a driftwood cross. The natural beauty of driftwood is a lovely elements to make a cross. Learn how to make a driftwood cross for Easter.

When I was a child I loved going to the beach picking up seashells and driftwood. I have a passion for the beach and lucky to live near one. The next time you are at the beach pick up some driftwood and make these pretty driftwood crosses.

The best driftwood that I have found has been the beaches. You can find them driftwood in other waterfront areas such as lakes, river and other forms of water outlets. The best time to find drift wood on the beach is after the tide goes out. It leaves pieces of wood along the shore line. Driftwood provides shelter for food for birds, fish and other aquatic species. When I am looking for driftwood I try to keep the size small since it is feeding our aquatic creatures.

- Driftwood : I used the 6-8 inch long pieces.
- Jute : Any color of jute strong is good.
- Glue Gun and glue stick.
- Seashells: small seashells are perfect.
1: Gather two driftwood pieces and 6 inch long jute.
2. Tie the jute around the cross in and out at least three times around to form an X.
3. Make sure the jute is tightly wrapped around both crosses before you glue the seashells on the cross.
4. Glue one of the larger shells on the X and the smaller ones all around.
4. I made three crosses. I added one large star fish over the jute and tied a pretty white ribbon around the starfish.
There are so many ways to make a driftwood crosses and the seashells are my favorite.
