How to Set an Unusual Thanksgiving Table

This fall I've styled quite a few tablescapes and the one thing that unifies them is that they're all unconventional. Most use unusual objects that don't always belong on a table and all show different interpretations of a fall color palette. Take a look below and let me know which one is your favorite!
I started the season using very pale neutrals, mixing blush pink with brown and adding copping accents. The tablecloth is a throw blanket and there are vintage books mixed in as well. To see the details for this table you can click here: Soft Neutral Fall Table
As the season progressed, I started to mix the pale feminine tones with rich dark colors, like berry pinks and olive green. This table utilizes gorgeous velvet pumpkins and mixes them with all my finest tableware. Glimmery napkin rings, silver centerpiece bowl, embroidered linen napkins and more. You can see the details on this one at this link: Velvet Pumpkin Tablescape
This table evolved in an intuitive way, where I planned to start adding more traditional fall color, in the way of pumpkin dishes, copper chargers and a plaid tablecloth, but then as I was finalizing it, I was inspired to add pink floral napkin rings and the combination made all the difference in the world!
I kept on thinking I was moving towards a full fall color palette, but I noticed in reality I kept on avoiding it. I'm no fan of orange, or at least not mixed with golds and browns, and I went completely in the opposite direction when I got to this table. A blush pink ruffled throw is used as a tablecloth with mixed vintage dishes and white baby boo pumpkins. It's sweet and lovely and oh-so-ladylike!
This was one of my earlier tables of the season, where my idea was to mix casual with formal on the very same table. Elegant china is mixed with casual every day dishes, and mossy bits of nature sit next to silver and crystal. It's all green and white and was a definite nod toward nature.
My final table is the closest to traditional fall colors, although even here, the copper, rust and brown is balanced by a healthy dose of pastel pink. I used brown transferware plates with cream dinner plates and copper chargers and then added rust and pink napkins. The oversized centerpiece really takes center stage and the tiny pumpkins sit in vintage dessert cups.

Are all the dishes in the pictures yours? If so how do you store all of them? The tables are soo beautiful. Did you make the birchbox yourself?

I vote for either the velvet pumpkins or the green and white. They all are beautiful though. I wish I had the talent some people do. I manage but nothing as gorgeous as these. Happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas to you and your family.

I love a beautifully dressed table. I have loads of beauty I got from garage sales and thrift store. China, silver plated flatware and stem crystal on sale. It is easier than many people think. : )
