July 4th DIY: Five Minute "Faux" Fireworks With Glow Sticks
Celebrate the Fourth with quick and easy DIY decor that bring a little spark to your celebration with basic and inexpensive supplies.
Hang on a deck or porch when the sun goes down
An outdoor lantern gets some patriotic flare with glow sticks and a balloon weight
Basic supplies include Glow sticks, floral foam and twine or ribbon
Spray foam black to blend with night sky. Poke hole in foam carefully and thread tinsel through- knotting securely. when ready to hang, start and insert glow sticks firmly - arranging evenly around foam for balance
start glow sticks just before displaying for maximum light life. Drape with tinsel for added spark.
