Last Minute Skeleton From A Clay Pot

Since I don’t have young children at home I don’t go all out decorating for Halloween. My nod to the day is my rustic pumpkins and a skeleton I made from a clay pot. It makes a cute little cache pot for candy. It is so easy so that is why it is a last minute skeleton from a clay pot. I got this idea a long time ago. I can’t even remember where I saw it.
You will need a clay pot and a clay saucer that will fit over the large opening of the pot. Paint it in the color of your choice. I used white spray paint.
Using black craft paint I painted in eye sockets, nose socket and the skeleton's mouth including missing teeth.
Paint in squiggly lines around to mimic bone fractures. Then use any type clear protector such as poly.
That is all there is to a last minute skeleton from a clay pot. It is a fast and easy Halloween project you can make in an afternoon. See the blog for more details.
