Memorial Day is the official kick off to summer. Any excuse to decorate, gather together & eat BBQ is a party to me! One of the perks of decorating for Memorial Day is they can be recycled for Independence Day. Regardless, I love a bargain so here is a lil' wreath tutorial to put on your door.

2 ingredients! I mean, materials😜. A patriotic scarf and a styrofoam frame all courtesy of my local dollar store! They sell these scarves in other patterns, so you can make multiple or even mix-n-match.

Take the scarf and use good scissors to create strips about 2-3 inches wide. Continue cutting until the entire scarf is cut.

You should have several strips of fabric for the next step.

Take each strip and tie it in a knot on the Styrofoam frame. Keep adding until all (except 1) of the fabric strips have been knotted onto your foam base.

Hopefully you saved one of those strips! This will be tied loosely so it can serve as the hook.

I like to fluff up my wreath a little by spreading the fabric out a bit. Hang this onto your door, or use as a table centerpiece with a mason jar of flowers in the center!
