These paper mache Valentine's are not only the cutest way to give a gift/treat, but they double as adorable home décor. I love all the paper mache animals at the craft store and finally decided to make something with them. They are so fun to work with for both kids and adults and you can do so much with them.
I chose an elephant and t-rex for this project, but there are tons of different items to chose from at the craft store.
Use craft paint to paint your animals, letting dry completely between each coat.
Paper mache dries very quickly, so there isn't much waiting time for this craft. I painted the feet different colors, so get creative and paint on clothes or shoes.
Add glitter and/or confetti paint.
Use a hot glue gun to add decorations. You can use tinsel, ribbon, beads, yarn, pom poms, charms, buttons, etc.
Put your gifts and treats into a small gift box. Use ribbon, twine, or yarn to tie the gift onto the paper mache animal.
This is such a cute Valentine's Day gift and fun way to say "I love you".
I made these as Valentine's, but you can make these party favors for any celebration or holiday. They would also be adorable place settings for a party!
