Patriotic Bunting Inspired by Pottery Barn

2 Materials
I love to work with fabric but I don’t really like to sew. (Ah, it feels good to get that off my chest!) That’s a big reason why I use Oly-Fun fabric so much. It’s non fraying and doesn’t fade, so it’s perfect to use with die cuts and for outdoor projects. I used the American flag with this Fourth of July bunting, but you can adapt the colors for any flag you like. This patriotic banner was inspired by this Pottery Barn product.
I’ve made a really short (less than one minute!) video tutorial that you can watch here. If you prefer, scroll down for a written tutorial.
Supplies Used to Make the Patriotic Bunting Banner:

Oly-Fun fabric in Snow, Blueberry, and Cherry Pop

Star Shaped Die cut

Fabric Glue
Step one: Cut the Snow and Blue Oly*Fun Fabric into triangle shapes.

Step two: Cut the Red Oly*Fun into thin strips.
Step three: Use a star die cut to make several small white stars. The number will vary depending on how many triangles you plan to add and how long your banner will be.

Step four: Use fabric glue to adhere the stars and stripes to the triangles. Cut a string of Oly*Fun fabric and glue each pennant to the “cord”. Hang and enjoy your colorful patriotic bunting banner year after year!
