Patriotic Ribbon Wreath
A fun patriotic flag wreath made from ribbon and just in time for the July 4th celebration but you can keep it up all summer long!
Designer tip: If you can't find the ribbon you like, you could also use strips of fabric but the ribbon goes much faster.
Hey there, I'm Cindy and I blog at DIY Beautify, where I love sharing easy and inexpensive ways to create a beautiful home! I have hundreds of DIYs, crafts, room makeovers and home decor ideas. I hope you'll stop by and say hi!
Supplies Used
- wreath form (either foam or wire)
- stars and stripes ribbon (or use gingham ribbon like I did)
- scissors
Precut ribbon into approx 9" strips (for wire wreath form). You'll need to cut it longer if you're using a foam form.
Tie ribbon strips onto wreath form, tying double knots.
Please refer to the video (linked above) for specific directions about how to tie the ribbon onto the wreath.
Continue tying and keeping ribbon tightly together for a fuller wreath.
Leave a space to add the blue ribbon
Fill in empty space on wreath form with blue ribbon to give a shabby flag look.
Hang ribbon on door! Click through to the blog post to read about an inexpensive trick to keep bugs away from your outdoor decor! It really works.

This looks so nice! Love the red white and blue! You've also inspired me to make this in our favorite red white and black college football colors. Thanks!
