Halloween porch lighting?

Deb

A way of Illuminating my porch for my “trick or treaters” with just enough light so they can see but not too much to spoil the ambience?!?!??

I also really love the look of paper bag luminaries! I would use frameless candles for safety reasons. But there are a ton of ideas online to diy hem yourself

i string lights on my retaining wall on the walkway. You can get ghost "masks" for porch lights. Take a milk jug, cut it to fit your porch light and paint it like a pumpkin, will dull the light color. I also hang lights from my pine trees to light the way. I have put mason jars with candles in them along the pathway -NOT A GOOD IDEA!!! Use luminary lights from dollar store. If you have time, look up floating candles on Hometalk.

You could try putting a really thin material in the color you want over your porch light(s). I remember my mom getting out a couple of her scarves to do that to her bright porch lights. I really worked and the color did make a big difference to what she wanted. I would give that a try. Any thin material should work that will let some light shine through. Hubby did that with the lamp on the side of the bed because he wanted it dimmer before he went to sleep. Now we have three way lamps and that took it down a lot.

We bought a orange light that illuminates our porch & gives a Halloweenish glow.
