There are quite a few more recipes out there, just Google!
I don't think that they make a Crock Pot or slow cooker that big..even if you cut it in half (neck to tail) and it would be more "steamed" than "roasted"
There are Electric Roasters that sit on a counter top... and they would be big enough to cook a turkey (we had a neighbor that only used an electric roaster to cook her turkeys or hams)
Are you looking to put it in early morning and then letting it cook all day while you are at work...?
I can't image putting a turkey in a crock. Most are too little.
Only possible way would be to cut the turkey into pieces and then try to fit it in. Don't put the back, throw that out, or make a stock from it for your gravy. Actually, cut it all up, make a turkey stock, then pour that over the turkey pieces in the crock pot along with the essentials, diced carrots, celery, onion, garlic, bay leaf and some thyme, parsley, sage leaves and rosemary, or whatever combo you prefer!
sorry, that sounded wrong. remove the back and use that for the stock! not the legs/breasts
Roasters are great and cook quick but 14 lb turkey would not fit in most regular crockpots
If you have a big enough crock pot to cook a 14 pound turkey? Where did you get it?
