Seasonal decorations can get expensive, especially when you're obsessed with home decor and constantly changing things around in your home! I usually don't go all out for Halloween but wanted to add some fun touches this year. Enter the Dollar Store!

I grabbed a few items that I wanted to give a little modern makeover to. Bright colored plastic isn't the look I was really going for so I also grabbed some copper and matte black spray paint.

I love metallic spray paints for transforming pieces! I wanted this plastic bowl to look like a higher end copper bowl and this stuff did the trick. The cup didn't look as good as I thought it would with the copper spray paint so I think I'll end up replacing it with something else.

Next I painted the skulls and spider matte black. This gave them a simple and modern look, exactly what I was going for.

Once everything was dry I arranged the pieces as a centerpiece and added in a couple of pumpkins. Now that these inexpensive dollar store deals have a sleeker look I can add them in to my other decor for a cheap and easy Halloween vibe! I can also change up the colors and styles to fit my decor without breaking the bank on expensive seasonal decor that's only used a few weeks out of the year! 🎃
