Rae Dunn Inspired Dollar Store Chalkboard Pumpkins For Halloween

Make these Rae Dunn inspired Dollar Store chalkboard pumpkins for Halloween with this easy tutorial.

Hello! I’ve been having way too much fun making fall and halloween crafts. It’s my absolute favorite season and when you can buy things for a dollar that you can update, it’s hard for a die-hard crafter to resist!

Start with a Dollar Store foam pumpkin.

Remove the pumpkin stem and paint it with the  DecoArt twinkles in silver. This stuff is seriously cool! It’s brush on glitter paint, so no more messes with glitter everywhere.

Paint the foam pumpkin with two coats of chalkboard paint. The foam really holds the paint well, so two coats is all you’ll need.

Place the Handwritten Font letters that you want on the foam pumpkin and use the squeegee to add the chalkology paste.

Remove the transfer and let the paste dry. I let it dry overnight and then gave the entire pumpkin a coat of clear acrylic sealer.

You can see a few other Dollar Store pumpkins that I’ve made on my blog here https://ourcraftymom.com/how-to-make-beautiful-diy-dollar-store-velvet-pumpkins/

I'd love it if you'd stop by! Have a great day.
