Here's another arty project I created for my Valentines Decor.
Repurposed Poetry is usually done with the words blocked out with ink pen scribbles...
But today I'll show you a different technique using watercolour paint.
Plus I've added an arty flower and some hearts as a border.
First - find a love poem that you like...
I googled free printable poetry and chose this poem called The Passion Flower.
Print your found poem on A4 paper.
You will also need water colour or gouache paint, pencil, a paintbrush,
or flower, heart printed images to collage if you are not handpainting the decorations.
Read through the poem and black out with watercolour paint the words you don't want anymore.
I used black paint, but you can use any colour you like.
Then add a painted flower.
My flower is a passion flower as it suits the poem and is painted in red.
And some painted hearts around the entire poem...
If you are not confident to paint freehand, just find flowers and hearts to print off the internet to collage with glue onto the paper.
Roll the poem and tie with a ribbon to gift, or frame it in a complementary frame to place in your home decor.
This 'Romantic Repurposed Poem' was a lovely addition to the top of my low bookshelf, as it is the perfect height to be able to read the poem.
