Thanksgiving Table Decor

When I was a little girl I always associated Thanksgiving with food. It was all about the
turkey, ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, buttery rolls, oh yea, don't forget dessert!

Am I making you hungry yet? :)
But, nowadays Thanksgiving means a lot more to me than just the food. It's more about the company--aka. your family and friends-- and the one day of the year that you can reflect on how lucky you really are.
It's so easy to look at someone else's life (especially when it is presented through a blog or social media platform), and wish you were doing as well as them.

However, everyone goes through trials and tribulations no matter where they live, what company they keep or even how much money they make.
What's important is that we live this life that we have been so blessed with to the fullest possible, and
Live like there's no tomorrow.
Dance like nobody's watching.
Be ever so grateful that you live in a country that allows you to make your own decisions and goals.
Dream big.
Make goals and accomplish them.
Go after your dream job, and don't stop trying until it's yours.
Enjoy the little things in life like your kids, pets and those sweet smelling flowers that are growing in front of your house every spring. Because not everyone is as lucky as you, and even when you think you have it bad there is always someone that has it 10x worse.

So, be thankful for all they you do and don't have.
And then finally, don't forget to eat that grub!

Every time I see decorating with slices of wood I have to laugh! We rely heavily on wood to heat our home and these "slices" are most times put into the fire...maybe I should start selling them!
