Refresh your Easter decor and empty out that bin of mismatched socks in your laundry room with this simple, no sew, less than 20 minute adorable sock Easter bunny!

I know it is February and I totally skipped over Valentine's projects! I am going to give myself a pat on the back for being on top of it! Do you decorate for all holidays? I know I don't. I only "decorate" and I use that term very loosely on Easter (a spring wreath on my door and a decoupage bunny I put out on my entry table) and Christmas are the only holidays I really make any attempt to put something out. I have small kids and I know I should do better so here is my attempt to getting ready for Easter early. This project is so easy and cute.

You only need a couple materials you probably have sitting around your house.

  1. A sock (check your laundry room for one of the loners)
  2. Rice
  3. Ribbon
  4. Scissors
  5. Thread
  6. A black marker
  7. A canning ring

First step is wrap the top of sock opening around a canning ring or something to keep it open so you can pour in the rice.

Fill your sock with rice until it gets to about the heel of the sock.

You decide how full you want your bunny to be and start to section off a head and body.

Use your thread and tie off the top of the "head" -this will be the ears. Also tie the thread around the "neck" to separate the head and the body.

I turned mine around because the heel of the sock makes a great shape for the face.

Use your scissors and cut down the middle to form the ears.

You will cut the ears on a diagonal from the base to the outer tip to form rabbit shaped ears.

Use your marker and draw on two dots for eyes and a little nose. Tie your ribbon around the neck to dress it up and Voila!

Put your little bunny out for display for Easter. It is so simple and really cute! This is so easy that even kids would can to do this for a project!

You can make these bunnies out of different colors and patterns and even different sizes. Use your imagination and create something that fits your style!
