Supplies need for this DIY Americana Wreath~

1. One medium size straw wreath form

2. 9 large red, blue and cream faux hydrangea stems

3. Wire cutters

4. Wire

5. Bow of choice

Gather your supplies together and place on a covered work space.
Leave plastic covering on straw wreath- it helps to hold straw together.
Cut stems of hydrangeas off to about 6 inches.

After you have cut them off take your florist clippers or scissors or knife.

And punch holes in the straw wreath to insert the hydrangeas.

(Being careful not to injure yourself and if you are working with a child-supervision is required.)
Work your way around the wreath alternating colors.

Red, white and blue.
I love using straw wreaths as they are inexpensive and the hold the faux flower stems in place without having to hot glue them.
Choose your ribbon for your bow, I have this rhinestone bow that is a treasure and I thought it would be the perfect sparkly touch to this wreath. Sort of like a sparkler.
In just a few easy steps you can have a DIY Patriotic wreath.

Be sure to display your wreath in a covered area-to prevent it from getting wet or wind blown.
